Delicate Balance by Ken Rinaldo. I'm always a fan of the occasional Robotic Fish Sculpture. The rest of his pieces are certainly worth a look as well: http://kenrinaldo.com/
Evan Roth, Graffiti Research Lab (GRL), and Free Art and Technology (FAT)
Evan Roth and his affiliated associations' works revolves around tools of empowerment, open source and popular culture via an artistic and ingenuous collaboration with a spectrum of technologies. I most admire his work that creates an alternative or more intimate relationship between the individual and the larger environment.
Projection Bombing demonstrates the concept that digital projections can interact with the surfaces upon which they are projected. In other words - an ingenuous use of technology to introduce the idea of play and interaction in the public realm.
The EyeWriter project is a low-cost eye-tracking apparatus and custom software that allows graffiti writers and artists with paralysis to draw using only their eyes.
- I managed to get a pretty good deal on a label printer off of Ebay (sometimes the starving artist plea works like a charm). Here she is - the Brother P-Touch QL 500.
- I was pleased to be able to buy the die-cut labels locally. They're rounded rectangles with sort of odd dimensions - 2.4 in x 3.9 in. My next step is to design some simple graphics to print with the snow angel image.

- and here's the patch I made in order to test my snow-globe mercury switch prototype (I suppose I will need to stitch the two together soon):
- As for the base of the piece, I would ideally like something along the lines of the swatch below (faux fur shag fabric) .. but it's a little pricey, so I might end up having to settle with a more felt-like texture. I'm planning on checking out what SCRAP has in stock in the next couple of days.
