working on black plastic inflatable. delay pedal in the mail for next week. will need to be built. the cardboard is not as sturdy as wood, obviously so having some trouble seeing what supports will be needed for the structure. However, the frame is the right shape and size

Making a mock up out of cardboard, to get dimensions. Going to be cut out of plywood . Progress : 005.MOV 004.MOV

Rob Duarte Bio

I conduct research, through visual art, into the social and cultural components of technology. At the moment, I am focused on how specific historical and contemporary technologies both drive and are driven by politics, fear and power. My installations and sculptures reflect on these ideas by way of subversion, intervention and sarcasm.

My current projects include several exhibitions centered around a machine that semi-automatically over-inflates balloons to bursting pressure, the evolution of a mechanism for inserting razor blades into apples, and the transposition of our techno-identities into an underground neighborhood TV broadcast.

I want to build a really big blue tooth that has a mic on one side and then is amplified and sent to the speaker built into the blue tooth. so that the exterior experience of viewing someone on a bluetooth is synonymous with the experience of the user. the users voice would also be sent through a delay pedal. I was thinking of disassembling a small practice amp. one that is generally called a "hip" amp and outfitting it in a wire structure. then possibly use cushion and painted  painty hose.

1. acquiring practice amp and disassembling

2. acquiring delay pedal kit

Your links are interesting. I am not sure where you are going with them. Could you give more context? Perhaps explain the why of them so people know where they are clicking off to?
As to the amplifier power question, the simplest answer is that the size of the speaker determines the power of the amp. Can you describe what kind of sound you want to amplify to what volume?
